DIRTY ELECTION/HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN TANZANIA
Related to country: Tanzania

Dear All,

Again the goverments of Tanzania and their electoral commissions have started
their tendency of rigging elections.

As we are sending you this e-mail, there have been already reports of
irregularities, insecurity and human right violations:

1. The list of the voters used at the polling stations is not the one that was
verified. It is the same one used in last Zanzibar election, which was not, by
any way, credible!
2. The ink used at polling stations is not original one. It can be wipped away
just by using water.
3. Groups of Janjaweed are voting now at Mji Mkongwe, Nungwi, Mtoni, Chumbuni,
Kikwajuni, etc.
4. Live bullets have been already used at Nungwi by Police Force in defending
the Janjaweed militia.
5. Multiplte voting is going on in Donge
6. At Vikokotoni station, CUF's agents have been forcefully moved away.
7. Eligible voters are being forced to leave the polling stations without
casting their votes. At Kwamtipura, the police is supervising that exercise
entirely.

We will send you other reports as soon as they arrive. However, we emphasize
that this is another bullet, not a ballot. Whereas elections aimed at being
democratic process which is 100% civilian based operation (CBO), Tanzania
governments have turned the process into a military based operation (MBO).
